RÉSUMÉ
Daisy Mercœur, fille d’un sévère magistrat balance entre deux soupirants : un jeune journaliste et un individu bizarre, élégant et grand viveur qui tient un établissement de nuit à New York. Daisy accepte d’épouser l’aventurier par dévouement filial. En effet, l’homme l’a menacée de révéler une affaire scandaleuse à laquelle fut mêlé le juge Mercœur. Mais la maîtresse du bandit intervient et le tue.
