RÉSUMÉ

Après avoir tendrement embrassé son épouse, un monsieur part à la chasse. Après avoir tué deux lièvres qu’il met dans sa gibecière, il désire se reposer. Mais il rencontre une jeune et jolie fille et il entre dans les bois avec elle. Un braconnier en profite pour voler les deux lièvres et mettre deux peaux à leur place. Le chasseur, après avoir embrassé la jolie fille, retourne chez lui mais il doit subir une orageuse discussion avec sa femme lorsque celle-ci trouve les peaux de lapins au lieu des lièvres annoncés.

d'après Susan Dalton : The husband having tenderly embraced his wife takes his departure. After having shot two rabbits which he puts into his game bag, we find him seeking repose. Or is it other game he is after in the wood? A young and pretty girl standing near a tree, he goes up to her and after a short conversation he goes off into the wood with her, leaving his game bag and gun at the foot of a tree. A poacher who has been watching them, creeps up and taking the rabbits replaces them with rabbit skins and runs away. Our sportsman now returns and after kissing the peasant girl puts on his game bag and makes for home. Here he explains his prowess to his wife who on finding only rabbit skins belabours him soundly. Exceptionally good film. (UK05)
