RÉSUMÉ
Un gamin a vu sortir de la fumée d’une fenêtre de la gendarmerie, vite, il part prévenir les pompiers. Ceux-ci accourent et mettent la pompe en batterie, tandis que l’un d’eux attaque la fenêtre à coups de hache. Mais après avoir pénétré dans la chambre, ils s’aperçoivent que la fumée sortait des bottes d’un brave gendarme qui, réveillé en sursaut, se demande ce que cela veut dire.
D'après Susan Dalton : A little boy seeing smoke issueing from a window of the police station runs off to give the alarm. The fire brigade arrives and whilst one chops at the window shutter with his axe and another enters the house with the hose and pours water into the smoking room, which awakens the policeman who wants to know what is the matter, he is only fumigating his boots.
