RÉSUMÉ
Un pêcheur suivant avec attention le bout de sa ligne est subitement troublé par une pierre jetée dans l’eau au-dessus de sa tête. Il se retourne mais ne voit rien, l’auteur s’étant dissimulé. La farce se renouvelle une ou deux fois encore lorsqu’un paisible bourgeois arrive, lisant son journal. Le pêcheur irascible le prenant pour le mauvais plaisant l’attrape par les épaules et le précipite à l’eau sans explications.
D'après Susan Dalton : A fisherman is watching his line and is angry when a stone is thrown over his head and into the water. He looks around but doesn't see anyone.
